secret garden.

When the hollies grow up behind my fountain, this garden will be completely enclosed. On the right of this is my screen porch.

I fell in love with these birds at a little garden shop in the mountains. Pat secretly bought them and surprised me with them when we got home. They are in the bird garden part (of course!) of my secret garden.

Rain Gardening

It's still all rainy here. I did feed all my roses in the back though. And I felt so guilty for forcing you to look at old entries that I went out in the rain to take some new photos.

Gardening over Memorial Day weekend.

Perle d'Or - the biggie. Pat helped me, but he really chopped the roots (Don't tell him I said that. He already got mad at me about it once. ;) ). I hope it makes it.

It's Raining

Garden feet!

I did so much gardening the past few days. I'm exhausted from it today, so the rain is a reprieve. I will post another entry updating my progress. This one will just be pretty pictures!


My front garden. It's the only garden where I really have a planned color scheme. It is orange/yellow - blue/purple. Pink just doesn't look very good against the brick color, and those colors show up better in front. If you look really closely in the last photo, you can see two bareroot roses I planted, Golden Celebration and Crown Princess Margareta.

I know I take a lot of photos of Mrs. R.M. Finch, but I love this little polyantha!

Sombreuil a few days ago.

Sombreuil this morning. I have had this poor rose in a pot for 3 years! I need to find a place for it. It's a beautiful climber.
